Photography Disclaimer

Regarding photography and images, as this is still a very new site and under construction there were a few things I thought worth mentioning.

An elegant terrazzo tabletop featuring a single vintage-style coupe glass filled with a pale lime margarita, rim dipped in flaky sea salt and garnished with a thin wheel of fresh fig balanced on the rim. Beside it lies a small ceramic dish holding sliced figs dusted with lime zest and a pinch of chili salt. The background includes an out-of-focus carafe of infused water with fig and lime segments floating inside. Golden hour light streams from the right, casting long, refined shadows and catching the glass’s delicate stem. Photographed at eye level with a centered, minimalist composition and clean, photographic realism, the mood is sophisticated, leisurely, and subtly indulgent, perfect for a modern food lifestyle feature.

Theme photo

Photos like the one to the left, and scattered among some of the pages, came with the theme I’m using and will eventually be replaced with some of my favourite holiday foodie photos. They are just far too stunning to be anything I snapped myself. Although this particular one might stay, it’s definitely a favourite!

There are also some photos, like the one on the left and hopefully less of them with each week, that have been fully generated using AI. These photos are placeholders, because I cannot for the life of me find anything on my camera roll that could be used in any way, shape, or form. As I cook these recipes I’ll be able to get some new pics to replace the full AI versions.

Then there are the photos, like the one to the left, that are my own but have been edited with AI for ratio and quality. It’s important to me that the food itself look exactly the way it does when I cook it, so ignore the pretty backgrounds and dappled sunlight, because I promise, and you can see elsewhere on the page, what the original looks like versus the final result. And to be honest, I’d rather snap a quick pic and enjoy the food as well as the moment. Life is too short to be stressing over the perfectly lit shot and composition.

before and after AI edits:

My fish soup, same plate and same soup but much better!

The meatballs below, while clearly more edited, are based on the best I could find: a screenshot from a video. The dish itself, however, is true to how it would look on my table.

This sour cherry cake below has been edited for ratio and background only, as I didn’t really want my ironing table and basket of washing, carefully cropped out in the left image, to be featured!
